The powdered sugar coating makes them so pretty and festive. These cookies are also vegan, and the dough is equally delicious to snack on while baking. I added in some dairy free chocolate chips to make them even more decadent.
In a bowl, combine sugar and butter until combined. Add in sour cream and stir. In a separate bowl mix the remaining dry ingredients (except powdered sugar). Add dry ingredients into the sugar mixture and mix till a dough is formed. Fold in chocolate chips and cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Place in the fridge for at least and hour. Preheat oven to 350 and scoop chilled dough in heaping tbsp sized balls on a cookie sheet. Place powdered sugar in a bowl and roll the chocolate dough in the powdered sugar to coat. Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes until cookies start to crack and set. The edges should begin to lightly crisp. Let cool and enjoy!
